TRU has contributed to the community health movemement in Gujarat not only through its personal involvement, but also by publishing literature and various manuals for the use of general public at large. TRU publications are very popular and are used as reference books in various training programs. Following is the list of publications from 2004-2009
1. "Vanchitoni Vachale Vis Varsh" is a booklet that was produced by TRU to narrate TRU's history along with an account of it's core workers' contribution to the health movement of the state and country. This describes the work carried out by TRU to improve the health of the poor in intensive care areas. This was produced in the end of 2009 and begining of 2010. 2. Teachers' manual for psycho social development of students, named "Vidhyartiona Manosamajik Vikas ma Shikshano Falo" was published in 2009. This book has been disseminated in many schools with nearly 150 teachers being oriented in three disctricts - Vadodara, Panch Mahals and Surendra Nagar. 3. Manual of women's health titled "Jya Streena Doctor na Hoy" was prepared and published in 2008. This book contains discourse on all women's health issues and is a resource for both women health workers working on women's health including doctors and paramedics. This book has sold nearly 800 copies.
4. Manual of Mental Health for Health Workers, also in Gujarati was published mainly for TRU's health workers and serves as a resource for all those who would like to work with the marginalized sections of society and the forgotten patients. It was published in 2008. It helps health workers identify patients and refer them to appropriate places. It teaches the approach of Community Based Rehabilitation of mentally ill patients.
5. Set of 10 posters were published to take care of the educational needs for the community regarding mental health awareness and reduction of stigma for the mentally ill. This was done for the District Mental Health Program for Panch Mahals and Surendra Nagar in 2006.
6. Manual of mental health education, to be used by health workers in the field was published in 2005 to take care of the growing needs of health workers. This simple and pictorally colorful book can be used for educating care takers and relatives of the mentally ill. It is also a useful tool for a health worker to initiate dialog on this sensitive issue.
7. Series of 18 Arogya Patrikas have been published and disseminated among the project village communities to take care of common diseases and prevent their spread. They were produced for the SSK during the years 2007-2009.
8. TRU in 2007 produced new "Growth Charts" separately for girls and boys to help the community health projects in monitoring children's growth in their communities. These charts for the WHO standards of growth.
9. TRU has printed records for use at various levels and for keeping MIS for community health projects and mental health projects.
In addition to these, TRU also has published various other materials like AIDS - Right and Wrong, Manual for ARI Diagnosis and Treatment, A set of 13 Posters on general health issues, Compilation of articles on New Economic Policy and Doctors' Responsibility, A set of 20 posters on effects of violence against women on health.
